European medical regulators accused of clinical trial inaction

Report alleges authorities in France, Italy, Spain and Sweden not following up on trial reporting

Medical regulators in four EU countries are not taking enough action to ensure that clinical trial results are made public, according to an organisation that advocates for trial transparency.

In the EU, sponsors of clinical trials must report results on a register within a year of the trial’s end.
