Specialist charities and Universities UK produce first-of-its-kind guidance for the sector

Universities should ensure they have a dedicated ‘postvention’ team in place to deal with any student death, new guidance has urged.

The advice, published by Universities UK in partnership with Papyrus Prevention of Young Suicide and the Samaritans, offers guidance for universities on the challenges that need careful management following any student death, with a particular focus on suspected suicides.
