Moderna’s Global Fellowships are for researchers with bold ideas in an array of fields
The US biotechnology firm Moderna is running its Global Fellowship programme for a second round—and once again has a wide remit. Not only is it open to applicants from around the world but it covers a wide array of disciplines—clinical medicine, basic research, epidemiology, pharmacology, and nursing—across a variety of therapeutic areas—infectious diseases (Covid, flu, RSV, CMV, and EBV), immuno-oncology, personalised cancer vaccines, rare diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune diseases.
Additionally, the scheme has a rare area of focus in accepting bids from mRNA science, where the firm’s expertise came to prominence following its success with mRNA-based Covid vaccines. (Moderna is currently locked in a legal battle with its competitor Pfizer and its German partner over the technology.)
