Research commissioner Mariya Gabriel calls for improved internal collaboration on what lies beyond Earth

The European Commission needs to improve collaboration on space between its different departments, its research and innovation commissioner has warned.

“When we say we need to build synergies, we need to break the working silo, that’s something that we have to do internally too,” Mariya Gabriel said at the European Space Conference in Brussels on 25 January, where politicians, businesspeople and academics gathered to discuss developments.
